Welcome to Sarpy County’s Online Permitting System
This portal allows you to apply for permits, upload documents, make payments, and schedule inspections.
Please read below for further information before beginning.
First Time Users
The first time you apply for a permit you will want to sign up, and create a user name and password. Before you get started please take a look at the instructions located under Documents at the bottom of the page.
*Electrical Permits: Applicants must be a licensed Electrical Contractor with the State of Nebraska or the Home Owner currently residing in the home.
If you are an Electrical Contractor applying for the first time in the SmartGov online portal, after creating an account, please email your name, company information, and State of Nebraska Electrical Contractor license to planning@sarpy.gov for access to electrical permit applications.
Please allow a minimum of 10 business days for review and approval of all residential permit applications, and 30 days for all commercial permit applications.
The cutoff time for inspection requests is 3:00pm for an inspection the next business day.

The Planning and Building office is closed on New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
